| I know this is probably common. But we have one hybrid that is supposed to be one of the latest, greatest, up and comers from a non specific company. Anywho. Have it on two farms, and it appears to be a disease magnet. It was the first place that we found tar spot and brown stem rot, and now it's just loaded with Southern Rust. You can tell to the row where it stops and the other hybrid starts. It looks like it's going to yield well, all that notwithstanding, but it looks like it's going t require a fungicide treatment every year. In the past, we've been lucky that our main corn was such that we didn't have to fungicide much. I guess, how common is this? |
