Remsen, Iowa | I have a landlord who's Grandfather had a farm sale 100 years ago and couple mile north of my place. This is a copy of the sale bill.
He said that this was actually his second farm sale. His Grandfather came to the USA from England and started farming in this area. After a couple years, he decided to get a job in town, so he sold his equipment. A few years after he was working in town, he must of thought farming was better than his town job. So he quit his town job and bought a 1/2 section and farmed there till he retired. And that is what this sale bill represents, his second farm sale.
The Grandfather never owned a tractor. I was surprised by the amount of equipment that was listed as new. The sale starts at 10 am with lunch served at 11:30 sharp. The way it's worded, I wonder if lunch was provided to all in attendance, no charge? You could finance your purchase with him at the time for 10 months, 8% interest.
Edit, I can upload the picture in the test forum, but not here.
