Bloomfield MO | Between all my neighbors and I, the pigweeds are coming on stronger than I’ve seen in several years. Some of us are still Flex and some are Enlist. All of my beans are 30” rows and 80% are full canopy. I applied a good premerge, with most being no till and 40oz of Liberty and Glyphosate, with 3lb of AMS. Cleaned them up very good but I’m seeing pigweeds randomly popping through, in places. My neighbors, who are Enlist, have had troubles from the get go with their post emerge application and many have done a second round, before beans are knee high. I’m not sure what rates they’re using but it was recommended to me, if I went Enlist, to use 40oz of Enlist, glyphosate and Liberty, along with the 3lb of AMS. If they’re going that route, with the results I’m seeing, I’m less than impressed. Even though I’m not currently Enlist, I probably would be next year and I wanted to see better results. | |
