ne nebraska | Going to look at one in the next few days and wondering what to look for. It is a 1989 model. MFWD. Don't know too much about it yet except it has 7900 hrs. Good rubber. Transmission and front end redone 2000 hrs ago. Previous owner said he changed oil every 250 hrs, and every 1500 hrs did the hydraulic oil, and had it for 3000 hrs. No motor work done that he was aware of. Are these good tractors? Will be trading off a 4640 on it. Thanks.
Also, how is the hydraulic capacity. Have been considering for a couple years now on whether to convert my 16 row to v-sets. Well, this year I am going to do it and I am concerned about hydraulic capacity of the 4640, even though it has the bigger hyd pump on it. Maybe I wouldn't gain anything with the 55 series over the 40 series hydraulic wise? Running two rawson drives and one blower for sure, possibly two.
Dealer is asking $47,000.
