Ohio | Who has used soft rock phosphate and what were your goals for using it?
I am looking into Tennessee brown rock as a possible map replacement with manure. Also Dr Dykstra has my attention on increasing plant brix, I would like to split a field and go full in to see if I can replicate what he says is achievable.
I have access to a high quality compost at $40 a ton, I was thinking about using half a ton of soft rock with two tons of compost to get the ball rolling. Most of my farms already have manure pressure, this would be conventional cropland, rye cover cropped and no-tilled.
The goal is to use less nitrogen an less fungicide. And maintain roi | |
