Subject: What is driving the soybean market lower?

South Central Illinois

Soybeans,
Harvest lows arrived in late October,
Post harvest rally into Thanksgiving,
Somewhat standard as far as this goes,
China was going to buy every soybean possible,
We have lost most all of the post harvest rally,
China was actually talking about buying during the 2025-2026 marketing year,
Which has another 8 months to go,
Instead of the 2025 calendar year which has 8 days to go,
South America has a huge soybean crop in the works,
This is going to be fully available in 4 months,
Do I have everything correct?
Someone needs to start feeding the world markets to stimulate demand and a rally.
So,
1) Are traders driving the price lower?
2) Did a glut of soybeans get sold post Thanksgiving and drove the price lower?
3) Was 2025 a classical drought year with the market finally realizing in November that the crop was actually a little smaller than expected and rallied for a few weeks after this news became obvious?
Only to slide lower for several months?
Where have we been and where are we going?
What does NAT say?
