Subject: Harvest yield report

Latimer, Iowa (north central)
We got started on corn. Our location has been very dry, for us, streams are all dry. Only done 95 day corn so fa. Overall yields are around average.

First 80 has a big hill that brought average down. Was 206 dry. 20% moisture planted April 10th. Notill, manure, no fungicide or inscectide. 50 units 32% sidedressed. Worse than nornally does.

Second 80s planted same day, same corn, same fertilizer, everything same. Wetter fields in general.
One was 215 dry.
One was 229 dry.
Both of those are better than they usually do. Corn is 56 lbs for test weight to really start a debate. :-). All weighed on out certified scale. Later corn where I have poked is better and still 32%+. North central Iowa.

Corn is dryer than expected and there are a few stalk quality issues but bit bad yet. Sandier areas will be down more in a month. Will start seeding cereal rye mix on stuff tomorrow. Delivering to an e plant on a plus 40 basis contract for sept delivery locked on a few weeks ago.
