Minnesota | This might be along message! I bought my first self propelled sprayer ( 1074ss rogator) and had a couple questions about pressure problems. I bought some turbo tee jet induction tips for low pressure good drift nozzles I believe they were 11004's. My target rate and speed are at 12mph I am shooting for 10 gallons an acre at 40 psi. I am only able to get 25 to 30 PSI with those tips At 12 mph. I bought the next size with a smaller orifice to bump up the pressure a little more but I was putting out 70 to 80 PSI which was too much.
I have been messing around for days with the throttle valve on the back of the sprayer to increase and decrease the amount of water going to the booms. Did not seem to help And as I said with the throttle valve the same it varied tremendously with PSI between the two different nozzles which should not have been However, I am dead on with how much chemical I am putting out per acre but did not like the pressure
It's making it difficult to select a different nozzle because I am going by the tee jet nozzle book and nothing is coming out the way it should.
Any suggestions out there? Any help would be much appreciated!!!!! Thanks! | |
