Back in the winter I posted on here asking for any info on cochlear implants and got a few responses. Just wanted to report on Pop's progress with his. He finally got it done first part of April and they turned it on May 13. It has really made a huge difference for everyone. At first he said everyone sounded the same, like Donald Duck. Said the singing at church sounded like a bunch of ducks quacking, too. But, he could hear things that he surely couldn't before. He says it's getting better and every day is an improvement. It has four settings and I think it is still just set on the first one. He goes back in a week or so for adjustments and tuning, but so far, so good.
