SW Indiana | Around 100 acres in river bottom had 230 lbs preplant NH3. Approx 10 days later it was planted, 6 days after planting it got 5"-6" of rain, river came out and was anywhere from 2" deep to 4' deep. Looking like we'll have a replant window next week.
I have extra NH3 that I had prepaid in December, enough left over I could put on another 150 lbs or so with prepaid product. Obviously I'd rather use the prepay money for other things now, but I don't want to have to buy much higher priced nitrogen at side dress time, and my NH3 bar is not setup to side dress.
I'm thinking we'll plow it on, no questions at that point. Did I lose it all? Did I lose half of it? How accurate are tissue samples and what stage to you test? Maybe I need to put on more than the 150? | |
