Always reminds me of my dad's comment, "every day is father's day" as he was not one for making a big deal out of things. I was thinking of him yesterday while I was "Macgyvering" an old used drive belt from my inventory to get the old JD 111 lawn tractor back on the job. It was his style to make do with what was available and save a trip to town burning up expensive gas in the 52 Mercury at 50 cents a gallon.
Nowadays gas is ten times the price and its a lot further to the John Deere dealer. Its hard to break the habits you grew up with. This old belt will let me keep the grass cut while I'm waiting to order a new belt. Thanks Dad.
