Alberta, Canada | Wondering... does anyone have a rake with this option where the V rake has a couple small wheels in the center for raking the center swath when you are raking 3 to 1?
How do you like it?
Jiffy has one http://www.westwardproducts.com/hay_rakes_hc.htm , plus I've noticed other companies have the same sort of thing too.
I have a standard Enorossi 12 wheel rake which I've been using a lot this year again with the crops bieng so light to speed up baling and picking. Alot of the fields I could have gone 3 to one but couldn't as the center swath was damp and would get covered up etc. Being able to even just fluff it up a bit too when raking 3 to 1 would really help a lot of the time.
