Subject: Gooseneck vs Bumper pull trailer ?s

Morris, IL
Halfway looking at a flatbed trailer of some kind and looking for opinions. Halfway looking at getting a single tire tandem axle in what they call a 14k trailer in the 25' range. Would be used for all around farm use, seed delivery, sprayer tender, and maybe a tractor now and then but seed and water would make up 90% of need. We will be pulling it with 3/4 ton gas pickups. I'm wondering about the decision to get a gooseneck for one, maybe two of the pickups, or a bumper pull that can be pulled with any of 6 trucks? What are the licensing advantages of them, i though i heard once that bumper can be farm trailer where gooseneck it can't? Does that mean with this size gooseneck we would need CDL and DOT on truck? This would be Illinois by the way. Thanks in advance.
