Subject: Big generation gaps

RR Valley, ND; MN native
I just found out that a uncle of mine has a new grandson. Uncle was 90 last spring. He was 50 when his son was born (3rd wife) and said son now has a son at age 40. He has 3 other grandsons (and some granddaughters), 1 of whom is about 40 but this is the first one with the same surname. His own dad, my maternal grandpa, was so happy when that son was born 40yrs ago. That gap was "only" 78yrs.

I was thinking about this and if the new baby lives to 90 that will be in 2116 and his grandpa will have been born 180yrs prior.
