| I’ve got a 1915 bank barn not sure how many more years it has left. It stores hay and I’ve got cattle in it. I hate to see it go but I hate to spend a fortune in repairs if it’s just going keep digging into my pockets as it ages. Some of the foundation is moving, cracking, walls and posts are shifting. It needs tin siding and repairs to the roof within the next 10 years. It’s a 40x72. The only comfortably thing to drive in the top is a side by side. I obviously can’t afford to build one like it is. It would be a lot more cost efficient for foundation work if wasn’t in a bank. My question is has anyone built a building on top of bank foundation or part of a structure? The lay of the land the only good use for the spot is a bank barn unless you move a lot of dirt. I was thinking use some of the existing good foundation and build like a monoslope style building or lean too for cattle. Anyone done anything with an area where a bank barn was? Ideas or pictures would be appreciated.
