New Brunswick | This field was formerly a grass hay field for many years. It was decided at the last minute to plant it into soybeans. It has never been in beans before. I ploughed, limed, fertilized, disked, planted, rolled all within a week or so (less than ideal). The field was fertilized with 5-10-20 @ 200 lb/ac. The field was planted at 150,000 on 30" rows on June 3. The field started out with everything green and slowly yellow patches appeared and seem to be getting larger. The plants are generally stunted in the yellow patch areas. I have looked at: nitrogen deficiency, iron chlorosis, and potassium deficiency.
Nitrogen deficiency is my best guess. If so, how do I rectify? 100 lb/a of AN?
