Boone Co. Iowa | Hi,
Bought a farm on Friday, first farm I've ever bought. Has 65 acres currently tillable, 55 acres in CRP, and 40 acres of pasture. I was thinking about building a few places to cross the creek that goes right through the middle of the pasture. (think of 4 40s, in the shape of a backwards capital L).
There would be a fair number of spots that are probably 30 ft. across, and I was reading online that some folks have made them with telephone poles. There is currently a big telephone / electricity project going on, and I would GUESS that they will have some old poles that they want to get rid of....
Mainly thinking of gator and jeep wrangler crossings....anyone built a bridge w/ telephone poles before???
