Subject: Macon FD75 Gathering Drum Go wacko

South Dakota
I was finishing up my last field when the gathering center drum came to a stop. The left side was bent up because the drive chain came off the sprocket. I took it to my dealer on a trailer and they said the fingers were all bent and did not break. As a result the center shaft was bent and the twist wrecked the drive sprockets and shroud. I didn't even take in anything to slug the head. It just stopped. The whole idea of breakable fingers is to prevent damage. This to me seems like a flaw on this model. Has anyone had a similar experience?
