Bancroft, Iowa | I am looking at supplementing my shop with a radiant tube heater. Currently it has in floor heat with an electric boiler. Not happy with it at all. Last month had the thermostat set at 50*, had a cold spell for a few days and the shop got down to 38* with the boiler running non stop. Bill was nearly $500. Shop is 48x72x16. The shop is not used daily, so I'm thinking if I add an LP radiant tube heater I can set the in floor heat to 40* to keep things from freezing and turn the tube on when I'm working in there.
I'm thinking of running a 60' 175k btu tube down the side of the shop that has the bench. I have been trying to research them, and am finding many differences. Whats everyone using, do you have a preference? I see there are modulating, single stage, two stage, etc. For my application is one going to work better than the other?
Anybody have brand preferences? I am just looking to add an economical supplement to what I've already got. | |
