| Dad was asking me yesterday to post a question on here for y'all.
Looking at alot of trucks, see most are 3208's like our F8000 is, non-turbo. I know the motor specs are slightly different, but was curious if anyone has added a turbo to a 3208. Looking at keeping this truck for awhile as its a low maintenance grain truck and adding a newer truck possibly, love the truck as it always starts like a top never needs plugged in, burns 1/2qt of oil a year but nothing terrible.
I figured, and told him, i'd assume more people would swap an entire 3208T motor in from a TR-98 NH combine or similar as i believe they were 3208's, then you'd just need to plumb some oil lines and smaller things. Truck is just running a little bit short on power when the pup trailer is loaded down and we're hauling 700+ with it. Not sure if turning the fuel screw would help a little or not. | |
