Subject: Treating bugs in grain bin

Douglass Kansas

Have left over corn from last year in bins. Bins are less than 1/4 full. Most likely have bugs in grain near aeration floor. Corn is dry like 11%. What are exceptable methods for treating grain? 42 x 8 ring bins 20hp centripetal and 2 hp axial floor aeration floor.

1. Throw phostoxin in on top of grain, should I pull air down thru grain for a little bit with axial fan?

2. Run 20 hp fan and put phostoxin in thru fan

3. Move all corn into 1 bin and add phostoxin into auger on first load or two or on last load.  I might also be mixing old dry corn with wet corn that we will cut this year. like 17 to 18%

4 something else
