| Younger brother unexpectedly passed away recently. He lived in Hendersonville NC , which is just east of Asheville on I-26.
In the past we have always taken I74 to I75 at Cincinnati, from there I75 to Knoxville then I40 to I26 at Asheville then to Hendersonville I had just talked to him Thursday & he had mentioned how bad I40 was going through the “Gap” at the NC / TN line and he had planned going a different way when he came up this spring.
Just wondering if anybody down in that area had an alternate route that they’d recommend? Before I40 was built we always to 25 but that’s a pretty windy road as I remember. Has a lot of traffic that would normally take 40 switched over to 25? Have also taken 176 through the Cumberland Gap years ago.
