sullivan il. | I am building an apartment complex and Thursday we were pouring the new street with a self propelled truss screed as we had a crown to the street got to the end where street Ts into the city street we had had the city street closed all day we parked skid loader in street to anchor the scread to we were pouring the last 3’ of a 380’ street when an old man in his 80s went around road closed barricades and the around skid loader in street at about 30 mph hitting the cable for the scread causing the scread to hit me and 2 others breaking the one guys leg ripping my Jeans and cutting my thigh. The guy never stopped I had to jump in my truck and run him down he was oblivious as to anything happening couldn’t even roll his window down all he was concerned about was it was their 60 th anniversary and was going to Texas road house. I did get him to turn around and head back to scene of accident when he then proceeded to turn left on side street and take off again had to stop him again and he was as only concerned with going to Texas road house. Cops and ambulances finally showed up he got a ticket although I don’t know for what all but the man really should not be driving
