SE Nebraska, Near Misery and Cans Ass! | Neighbor text me that he was stuck in his skid loader and could I help. I couldn't reach him and he didn't respond to my text. Found him in his barn moving bales and he had blown a lift hose. He couldn't move forward or backwards without lifting the bale. He couldn't open the door and he probably couldn't have gotten by the bale anyway and he certainly couldn't have crawled out the back window emergency exit. Can you say "big ole boy"? I got a hose and filled the loader with oil and away he went. He was lucky. Very little signal in his location and his phone went flat before I found him. His family was gone for the day and had no idea where he was. He just spent a couple of hours sitting waiting for help. He had heat and a full tank of fuel. Could have been worse. We trust our lives to leaking fittings and hoses all the time don't we?
