| FIL bought a Cat Challenger 55 last year to replace a White 6195 and 280hp Steiger. It has done a good job replacing the White, but he thinks he is overworking it trying to pull the field cultivator and chisel plow the Steiger used to pull. He is thinking about getting a Cat 65E or 75E in addition to the 55, however, I suggested he look into getting a MT765 and selling the 55.
The 55 currently pulls a 36? foot cultivator and 3pt 12 row planter in the spring and pulls a chisel plow in the fall.
If it was up to you, what would you do?
Keep the 55 and buy a 65E/75E or sell the 55 and get a MT765?
Or sell the cultivator and chisel plow and buy smaller implements? | |
