| Do UTVs (ie: JD gators, etc,) have to be registered in Indiana. if they are used for farm use or are they exempt? Thinking about putting a sprayer in ours for spraying around fields & ditches. A couple years ago my son was spraying field borders with his 4wheeler & DNR officer told him it had to be registered. Seems to me that I read / heard that recently the state made farm utvs exempt when used for farm purpose but can't find anything on the net. We would be hauling it farm to farm on a trailer behind the p.u. but would be operating in a road ditch & at times would have to cross a public road.
I have problems getting on / off a 4 wheeler & a gator or similiar machine would be a lot easier for me to operate, epecially in a road ditch.
