NW Illinois | Last year I had the AC unit on my 4240 recharged. I am still on the old R112 system, but the AC mechanic that did the recharge used a hybrid to 112 since you can get R112 anymore. When the tractor and AC unit are cool (like sitting over night), the AC works good until the compressor gets warm then it quits putting out cold air. The clutch starts and stops with the switch in the cab like normal. It did the same thing last year as well and I had the mechanic come out a second time and he hooked his gauges up and said everything is working as it should. He did replace the JD superheat fuse and he put in a 15 amp automotive fuse and that did help from it blowing so many fuses. The 15 amp fuse is not blown.
I have also noticed that when the sun is out and its warm the cool air does not last as long. If its a cloudy overcast day and its not super warm out I seem to get longer out of the AC unit.
My question is, where would be the next place to look for a root cause? | |
