Ludington/Manistee MI area | Why are hammer straps more prevalent on larger equipment? How I look at it is with a hammer strap you basically have a clevis on your drawbar instead of the implement side. IMO same components just opposite orientation. Both my field cultivator and soil saver have the flip over style hitch that accommodate either. My disc started life with a hammer strap but neighbor who is a good welder remedied that. Only thing I use the hammer strap on is my no til drill and planter and I’ve thought of seeing if I could replace them. |
