Subject: Twisted chisel points my only choice?

Northwest, Ohio
It seems I have to use twisted points on our chisel plow to bury corn residue but I hate that the odd number of shanks means the side that directs dirt outside the plow also dumps on the same area as we turn and go back the other direction. Does anyone put straight points just on the outside to keep from ridging?
We don't chisel corn much, only after plowing in tile for a couple years to remove "dimples".
Bought this chisel used, and previous owner had both outside points directed "in", but that wasn't level either. I know the spring pass makes it pretty level, just trying to do the best job.
