Subject: Barley with kochia weed

Riverton Wyoming
I have a field that I planted barley in with the intention of combining it this fall. Well that feel through, and now I have a bunch of kochia weed in it with no one to combine. I'm thinking of having the weeds sprayed and then turn the cows out on it next month once I get my second cutting off the rest of the field. I thought about having it windrowed, but then I have to hire someone to do that. Am I wasting my money on the spraying? I'm am planning on plowing it up next spring. Going forward I may have to buy my own combine, but then I am getting into something I don't know anything about. Not sure I want to get into that. The plan was to have plenty of grain to feed to my calves this fall; the CO-OP shut down their grain elevator here in Riverton, so I no longer have anywhere that I know of to buy barley in bulk.
