Subject: 2010 Chevy 5.3L low oil pressure

C IL
2010 Suburban. 90k miles. Oil pressure today bottomed out when I braked at a 4 way stop. Low oil pressure and shut it off warnings galore. Restarted and oil pressure spikes to 40 psi before stabilizing around 10-12 psi across 800-1500 rpm range. Limped it home. When braking and turning left, pressure wavered between 2 and 20psi before stabilizing again around 10-12psi.

Ideas? Mostly long haul highway miles. Oil changed when sensor reads about 30-40% oil life left - about 6-8k miles. My brother reads online that there is a screen over the oil sensor that can get covered and cause faulty readings, but I don't understand how that explains the total weirdness. Pickup tube troubles?

Will call dealer in the morning. Hopefully 100k powertrain warranty will cover it. I was too dumb to call dealer last month when I had idle trouble and had local guy fix the problem by replacing throttle body. Never owned a car in warranty before and apparently too dumb to remember on this one.
