far south central iowa | Started cutting milo this afternoon and got out after the first hopper and see oil on the left side of the combine but no hoses leaking oil. Looked in the engine compartment and can see oil coming out of the fill tube on the rotor gearbox box. Turned the machine off and still pushed oil out when I take the cap off. Decided to just go home and that I shouldn’t have went to the field on Sunday but after doing some thinking, is it possible the breather vent is plugged? Also was cold over night and only got to 31 today.
