Subject: Another short take from "The Coach"---- seems to be good advice for everyone.........

Oskaloosa, Iowa 52577

For the un-annointed------"The Coach" is a close friend of mine, football coach forever, and who coached my three sons.  He is supposedly retired, but still coaches at a nearby highschool, and sends a daily email to his team members, and those who request it.  I tried to get him to go onto the speaking circuit several years ago, or take on motivation contracts with businesses such as nursing homes, but he wouldn't do it.

The concept of setting priorities is something that I do believe is best taught/learned away from the home environment, such as the local school.........nothing like a kid learning early that third parties demand compliance and results, as compared to Mom or Dad threatening a beating................

Seems to me that such habit carries over into adulthood.

Good Morning Everyone:

Computer battery is running low.  No plug in. Life is good here today.

One of the Seven Good Habits of Successful Teens is that they know how to  prioritize.  First things first.  Watching TV or girl talking waits until homework, strength trainign, chores around the house are done.   Unsuccessful teens spend too much time day dreaming, visiting, playing video games, girl talking, scooping the loop or other non productive things and then try to cram in the more important stuff late at night.  The highest ranking academic Blue Demon told me he spends at least one hour a night studying and he uses his study halls for studying.  A college professor will tell students that they should spend three hours studying for each HOUR they spend in class.

Learning how to prioritize duties is an important step for ANYONE, not just teens.

Thought For The Day:

Try not to do too many things at once. Know what you want,

The #1 thing for today and tomorrow. Persevere and get it done.
