From a draw standpoint, for vapor. You want surface area. Tanks that are near full or near empty have the least amount of area to boil vapor off of. 50% full gets you the greatest surface area. Dryers are pulling liquid so not relevant to this.
This helps my understanding of why he said a 1000 gal tank wouldn’t have this concern.
