To fit that size of tractor a 7 bottom would be all around better, unless your plowing so deep it maybe takes that kind of power to pull a 5 bottom. What type of soil do you have, sandy loam or heavy black dirt or ?


Sandy loam , My friend said a 7140 would run off with it .

He only plowed terraces with it many years ago .

Its new ground , not worked in 50 years i guess . A few small shurbs on it and a big mat of weeds .

I dont raise any grain crops , just cow feed .
