Leesburg, Ohio | A Deere 1450 plow is a semi-mounted plow designed to have the right-side tractor wheels running in the furrow.
And no, if you want a decent job of plowing done, you CANNOT leave the dual a and "just go plow". If you do, you will see every plow pass across the field because of the gap left between each pass, where the first bottom cannot fill in against the last furrow of the previous pass. This will leave a ditch between every plow pass.
READ the MANUAL! It will tell you how to set up the tractor and the proper hitch spacing for your model of plow.
A 1450 plow on most tractors with Cat 2 or 3 hitches required the right dual being removed, the inside tire set out to about 40" from the centerline to center of the tire, and the plow hitch set for proper draft. | |
