SC Kansas | So you're saying there are things that you've learned over the years that have increased your yield? We've quit growing milo for the most part because it either seems it's OK or a bust, never better. I increased my seeding rate to get one head per plant and that seemed to make a difference several years ago, but about that time was when sugar cain apids started in. We grew some last year that made in the 120's which was really good for us. This year it made 35 because of lack of rain. Another deterrent for us is it's hard to get back to wheat with harvest being later. So we either plant corn, beans, or flowers prior to wheat. | |
