Subject: Side dish for tacos

south central WI
I'm in charge if feeding the fire department tonight. I made 12lbs of taco meat, I will have soft shells and tortilla chips, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, taco sauce, and some chips and homemade cookies. Should I make a side dish, or are tacos n chips enough? Normal food would be brats/chili/etc with potato salad and/or macaroni salad as a side, chips and dessert. I've never made Mexican rice before and not sure I want to learn tonight.

I pre-made everything yesterday. Homemade chocolate chip cookies and also peanut butter cookies. Sometime between going to feed cows this morning and coming back for breakfast, my fat dog reached the pb cookies on top of the microwave and ate 4-5 dozen cookies....then rifled through the trash for any tasty morsels hidden there. Looks like I will be making cookies again.
