How many do you need to do? We have a local rental place that has a self contained system and don’t see how I could afford to own one when they are so cheap and convenient.
Rented one of these at local rental shop:
Looks good, but is slow on big stumps. Motor is about 25 hp and the rotor is hydraulic powered and will stall out if loaded too fast. Hired a commercial guy with a similar type unit, but commercial grade and he did a similar size stump in about 1/5th the time. If stump is 24" or bigger, it can take up to 30 minutes to do one stump.
