You can run more air and don't have to worry about blowing crop out the back because it is designed to direct the air straight up instead of following the fins of the stock chaffer. It works great for me in soybeans, but I have trouble with small pieces of cob getting stuck in the openings in corn. I would think it would work well for what you want it for.
