My Dad's rich neighbor(banker) has both older ranger with soft cab and suicide doors(fabric/plastic windows), and a new model with hard cab and regular doors with real glass. His neighbor has told me that he actually like the older fabric/plastic window style doors on the older ranger, because they weight less on opening and closing.

He has let my Dad run his older one, this last year, and Dad likes it other than it gets hard to see out those plastic,side windows(needs to be replaced). Dad is thinking of buying this older one.

The reason the neighbor has two, is because they insulted him so much when he tried to trade it in on his newer model(not near enough money for his trade-in). He decided just to keep it. So he lets my Dad drive it.

Personnally, when I have driven it, I think that once you have had a cab, you will always want a cab. In the summer, just remove the doors(super simple).
