Just looking to do some rough market research, I am wondering if there is enough business out there for a guy to make a living detailing heavy equipment. I would think a mobile service would be the best way to get a start, but winter would slow a guy down unless there was a heated shop that could be used somewhere. So my questions to anyone willing to provide some feedback:
1. Have you or would you ever use a detailing service for your ag machinery?
2. How many times a year would you use a detailing service?
3. How much would you be willing to spend for a complete detail (interior, exterior, wax/protected coating) for a smaller item (i.e. collector tractor, skid-steer)?
4. How much would you be willing to spend for a complete detail (interior, exterior, wax/protected coating) for a larger item (i.e. combine, 4WD, semi)?
Obviously there are a lot of variables and special considerations that can be made, but just looking for general opinions. Thanks in advance for the response!
If you go this route then purchase a big tow behind compressor. We blow off everything before we wash. |
