I rented a Degelman Pro-Till to try.  I am with you, it’s a love/hate with it.  If it’s too wet, it will plug up between rear blades and rubber packer wheels.  At some certain conditions, it will hop and leave the ground rough.  I did rip one field that was going back to corn, then hit it a couple days later with the Degelman.  I think I could have planted into it, with a few minor adjustments.
