Jim, not going to argue about your wheel, but i consider it to be close to the martin. The martins are also a heavy wheel similar to yours. I ran the martin 20pt crumbler on 2 rows and ran 2 thompson side by side this past year. The martins definately bounced more than the thompsons in all conditions. The thin design of the thompsons and the angle the closing arm holds it allow for very little down pressure also. It seems like it just "pulls" the dirt into the slot, where as a heavy wider wheel still has to "mash" the dirt to get it into the slot. Just my .02
