Article mentions the sale of a lot of smaller utility tractors. That market is expanding. Just because YOUR area's dealers are competing more for the large ag equipment sales, the dealer mentioned in the article may be in an area that is more urban. Those types of people are not nearly as attached to Mother Deere as the Green Undie farmer types we see on here.

My guess is, if that is the case, he will do just fine. He obviously knows how to treat customers since he has been able to keep the doors open as long as he has. If he continues that, he will do fine.

Besides, even if his sales are more into the large ag equipment, he could still succeed. In what seems like the rare areas where AGCO has strong dealers, their market share is right up there with the red and green's. This whole issues with dropping orange will blow over in a few years and things will be back to normal again. Sure, there will still be some jokers out there who still refuse to buy a red AGCO tractor when they would have bought orange, but the lost sales will be a spit in the wind in the big picture.
