Subject: Ford 9600... frozen PTO control.... no snowblowing today.....

Too dark and cold to look under the cab this evening. IIRC, the PTO is controlled by a cable linkage. It picked a fine day to quit working. It's a 00000 to get to stuff under the cab, especially with heavy winter clothes on. I'm thinking if I can spray some alcohol based carb cleaner on the linkage that will thaw it out. Then maybe WD or PB to lubricate. Anyone got any better ideas short of a heated shop? TIA for replies.
