Statesville, NC | There are a lot of differences in the transmission and rear end between the 4240 and 4440. The differential is much heavier in the 4440. The 4240 with a turbo would probably be ok for light drawbar loads at higher speeds, or pto work; but not ok if you want to load it down with weights and pull heavier drawbar loads.
