My wife still has debilitating PHN pain across her right side mid back from getting Shingles 15 years ago. I’ve had them around my left eye over a dozen times in the last 20 years.

We both got the dual Shingrix shots last year and I’ve already had them twice more since then.

What really made me mad was when we got the first set of shots, I asked the nurse to see the box with the vaccine as I wanted to make sure I wasn’t getting the Covid shot instead. Lo and behold, it was the Covid vaccine they were trying to give us and she was very apologetic. She remembered us when we came in to get the second shot and opened the box in front of us.

I can’t help but wonder what shot(s) we really got…and is one more reason we don’t trust the system. We used to always get the flu shot every year but not ever again.
