Liberty, MO | I would hope for your sake the wick hasn’t been turned up. My dad bought a 1855 that had been a lease tractor that the Jolly Green Giant had leased, put it on the dyno when he thought it was running toooo good, 160 hp, turned it back to 120, within 200 hrs burned a rod bearing out, turned the shaft and put it back together and it was ok till he sold it. The next owner was using it for HEAVY work and a rod came out the side of the block. The 2-105 with the Perkins T6-354 are tough, 125 hp for 42 years, 4 sets or 18:4x38’s dualed no idea of hours, Completely overhauled it 2 times. Bought it new in 1975; sold it in 2018. | |
