| I agree, first time I ever seen a 310 apart I marveled at the fact they worked as good as they did, and everyone knows the reputation they had wasn’t great.
I always heard they left the Perk after the 1850 because it cost more, well it must have not cost that much after all the skylights were installed in the 310 blocks because they went back to it. Did they shop around for another engine builder other than Perkins for the smaller ones? I know the Herc and the Cat were used in the larger ones for quite a period. | |
